EDPA ACCESS 2024 a Huge Success!

EDPA ACCESS 2024 a Huge Success!

EDPA ACCESS 2024 was hosted this year at Hyatt Regency Indian Wells in Palm Desert, California. The event was held December 3rd – 5th and kicked off with a jeep tour of the San Andreas Fault and the annual EDPA Golf Scramble. Both excursions took advantage of the picturesque beauty of the wonderful location.

A record number of EDPA ACCESS attendees – 350, joined for the opening keynote from Jessica Cox, the world's first licensed armless pilot. Jessica inspired the group while sharing her stories of “thinking outside the shoe”.

The networking kicked into high gear at the opening reception. The night’s sponsor, IPME, hosted a “Rat Pack” themed reception that showcased their double-deck container exhibit. Guests were entertained with music and games while they reconnected with each other.

Day two of the event was filled with industry relevant content including a morning keynote on Practical AI Tech Tools In Less Than 1 Hour along with the latest industry research from Exhibitor Advocate and Event Marketer.

New to this year’s agenda were new member moments where new EDPA members took to the stage to be welcomed. Also new, was an expanded development track of content focusing on topics for individuals looking to advance their roles within their companies.

The annual Gala and the EDPA Foundation Silent Auction were the highlight once again. Taking center stage was EDPA’s 70th anniversary moment where EDPA President, Chris Griffin, raised a toast to celebrate the association’s milestone, recognized past presidents and longtime members, the impact all have had on the industry. The Gala also included a presentation of the EDPA Awards including the coveted Eddies, Chapters of the Year, Future Leaders, and individual awards for the Designer of the Year, EDPA Ambassador, and the Hazel Hays award. This year, the awards went to:

EDPA & Event Marketer Announce
Partnership for 2025

Event Marketer, the leading information resource for corporate event and exhibit marketers, announced a new partnership with the Experiential Designers and Producers Association (EDPA) focused on educating Fortune 1000 exhibit teams, developing much-needed industry research, and creating networking opportunities exclusively for EDPA members within the Experiential Marketing Summit global conference and trade show.

The new partnership gives EDPA members expanded access to the experiential marketing industry’s top buyers and provides Event Marketer an elevated position from which to serve EDPA members with content and data.

“I am thrilled to take our relationship with the EDPA to the next level in 2025 in a way that benefits both EDPA members and Event Marketer’s growing corporate exhibitor audience,” says Event Marketer founder Kerry Smith.

The partnership includes:

  • EDPA @ Experiential Marketing Summit. EDPA will be an official cohost of Event Marketer’s “Exhibit Strategies” content track and corporate exhibitor networking mixer, and will co-manage a first-of-its-kind Hosted Corporate Exhibitor program that allows leading exhibit houses to invite their end-user clients to join them at EMS (April14-16, MGM Grand, Las Vegas).

  • EDPA + Event Marketer Content. EDPA will have additional presence across Event Marketer’s “Exhibit Strategies” content online, in field reports from top trade shows, and in additional community conversations and events to be announced.

  • EventTrack + EDPA. Event Marketer will invest additional resources to expand the corporate exhibitor surveys of Event Track, the largest annual research report on events and trade shows. Expanded trade show-specific data will be presented at an exclusive main session at EDPA Access 2025.

“EDPA has always had a great relationship with Event Marketer,”
    says Chris Griffin, EDPA President.“

As the lines blur between corporate event teams and corporate trade show departments, we know this partnership provides a win-win-win—for EDPA members, for end-user clients, and for the industry overall.”
