Letter from Amy Sondrup - EDPA President,

2020 has presented our industry with more challenges than solutions, with more questions than answers, and with more uncertainty than we have ever experienced. Despite this, it is EDPA’s responsibility to keep our eyes on the future.  We are focused on providing our membership with strategies and ideation opportunities that will fuel growth and empower us to deliver quality solutions to our clients as we look to 2021 and beyond.  Our industry is beginning preparations for reopening and is looking forward to seeing how new safety protocols and new technologies will start to enhance the attendee experience at live events.  I think I speak for all of us when I say we are ready to get this industry back to work!

We are designing ACCESS 2020 to be a true hybrid event, with both live and virtual components.  Our focus this year is simple: relevant content.  We will be revealing the latest data for the 2021 marketplace and will explore the challenges facing us as business leaders.  We will explore stimulus funding, talent and client retention, evolving client expectations, and updated safety standards.  Along the way, we will be creating “The New Rules of Engagement.”

The live portion of ACCESS 2020 will be held December 1- 3 at the La Cantera Resort in San Antonio, Texas.  All necessary safety precautions are being implemented to ensure we are holding ACCESS in a sanitized and thoughtfully planned environment.  Because of this, we will be capping registration for the live event at 175 attendees to ensure that our use of space is compliant with local social distancing guidelines.

I sincerely hope you will join us to reconnect in person.  More than ever, it’s critical that we come together to show our peers we are committed to the relaunching of face to face events.  Registration is now open, and we encourage you to use the link in this newsletter to make your reservation today. We have done our best to reduce pricing across the board for ACCESS 2020 in hopes of attracting a robust attendance.

As we go into this fall season, communication continues to be critical. Sharing our insights and best practices is the best possible way for us to move forward. Please plan to join us for ACCESS 2020 and help define “The New Rules of Engagement.”
