CeCealia Schultz, EDPA design competition winner, is going to EuroShop
The Experiential Designers & Producers Association (EDPA) recently engaged students from both Bemidji State University (BSU) in Bemidji MN and the FIT (New York City) graduate program for a design competition centered around the upcoming EuroShop 2020. EDPA's University Affiliations Committee briefed students on the design criteria for the project: a potential EDPA exhibit for EuroShop. The competition attracted entries from more than 25 students.
BSU student CeCealia Schultz designed the winning exhibit. She is a senior from Osakis, Minnesota pursuing a BS in Exhibit Design. As the winning designer, Schultz will receive a free trip to EuroShop 2020 from EDPA.
Dr. Bonnie Higgins, BSU, said, "Bemidji State University is honored to be part of the EDPA EuroShop Design Competition. This opportunity is invaluable for our exhibit design students as they are provided a challenge to create an experience for an international expo. We want to thank all of the EDPA member companies and individuals who have provided support for this project, including Dana Esposito, Elevation 3D; Justin Dworak, Star; Randal Acker, Exhibitor Magazine; Dasher Lowe, EDPA; David Welle and Tony Erpelding, Group Delphi.”
Dana Esposito, Elevation 3D added, "Every three years when EuroShop comes around, the EDPA-sponsored design competition is one of my favorites to be a part of. This opportunity provides students with an excellent project for their portfolios, but more importantly, EDPA pays for the winning student to attend EuroShop in Germany. That is something that is extremely unique. Many professional exhibit designers wait years for the chance to attend EuroShop, as it is one of the largest trade shows with some of the most forward-thinking exhibit design solutions."
