NorCal Explores Interactive Technology
The Northern California Chapter of the EDPA would like to thank everyone who attended the recent meeting on February 24 at the Tech Museum in San Jose. David Ellzey of Xpletive, Inc., led a presentation and lively Q & A session on the use of interactive technology and new media.
The next NorCal chapter meeting will be held in May, with more details to come soon.

EDPA NorCal Chapter Asks Members "Concerned About the Economy?"
On February 12, the EDPA NorCal Chapter and guests gathered at the facilities of Riverview Systems Group in San Jose, Calif., to discuss the current economic climate.
Industry marketing guru and Managing Director of the Event Marketing Institute, Mike Westcott, shared his insights into what the future holds for the industry, and how best to equip our enterprises for the challenges and opportunities we all face in today’s economy.
A strong turnout of Bay Area exhibit designers and producers enjoyed touring Riverview Systems’ impressive A/V products and services. Those attending learned tips and tools for success in a tough economic climate, reviewed results from EDPA’s Annual Economic Survey, and networked with industry colleagues.
The Chapter’s next event will be held April 30, 2009. The topic will be disclosed shortly.

Northern California Chapter Again To Host Annual Golf Tournament
The Northern California Chapter of the EDPA will once again host its annual fundraising golf tournament this year. The tourney takes place July 30 at the Crystal Springs Golf Course in Burlingame (PlayCrystalSprings.com/), with a four-person scramble, best-ball format. Continental breakfast and networking begins at 10 a.m., with tee-times starting at 11 a.m. Dinner, a raffle, prizes and awards kick off at 4 p.m. To reserve your spot, go to: 123signup.com
